At Kent School, athletics are a dynamic part of student life. Through team sports, students in grades 5–8 build confidence, discipline, and a strong sense of camaraderie. Whether playing for the first time or honing their skills, our athletes enjoy a supportive environment that fosters growth on and off the field.
Interscholastic Athletics by Season
Our athletics program runs across three seasons and offers opportunities for all students in grades 5–8 to participate in competitive play against local schools and recreational programs:
- Fall: Field Hockey and Soccer
- Winter: Boys and Girls Basketball
- Spring: Boys and Girls Lacrosse
All teams are coached by experienced staff who emphasize skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Is there a fee associated with Athletics with Kent School?
Yes, currently the fee is $250 per season which covers uniforms, travel to and from most away games, referees, coaching, and more.
Is transportation provided to away games?
Yes, athletes ride on hired buses with professional drivers to away games. They have the opportunity to return to school following the game if a parent or guardian is not present to take them.
What is the practice schedule?
Athletes practice two to three times per week depending on the season. Practice runs from 3:45 p.m. until 4:50 p.m.
