Welcome to the Kent School website. I am especially pleased that you have chosen to learn more about our educational program in our unparalleled environment for learning. As I complete nearly a decade at Kent School, I continue to be grateful for the opportunity to experience the joyful learning that takes place here each and every day.  

From Little School to Lower School to Middle School, I believe that the educational foundation we provide at Kent School is essential to create the kind of leaders we need in our increasingly complex world. Kent School’s child-centered approach nurtures students who possess empathy, are able to work effectively on teams and who are, most especially, critical and creative thinkers. Our signature Chesapeake Bay Studies program, Humanities, foreign language concentration in Spanish, and World Studies, all foster global citizenry. Our students care deeply about their community and the environment, and they bring kindness and integrity to their endeavors inside and outside of School. Kent School is committed to being environmental stewards and has been a Maryland Green School since 2017.

As we enter our next half century, the meaningful traditions that are a hallmark of a Kent School education will continue to be treasured even as we look to the future and bring innovation and mind, brain and education science to our teaching and learning.
