Securing the School’s Future

Kent School is an independent, not-for-profit school and is governed by a self-perpetuating Board of Trustees. The Board is charged with keeping the school “in trust” and securing the school’s future.
The Kent School Board of Trustees plays a crucial role in ensuring the long-term success and sustainability of the school. As stewards of the school’s mission and vision, our trustees guide strategic planning, provide financial oversight, and support the leadership of the Head of School. Their commitment helps Kent School continue to thrive as a center for academic excellence and community engagement.
It does this by setting basic policies:
- Hiring, supporting and evaluating the Head of School
- Undertaking strategic planning
- Leading the financial management and support of the School
