Advisory Program

The Middle School Advisory program is designed to provide each student with an adult advocate and a unique peer group. With the help of a faculty advisor, each student learns to self assess, set goals and advocate for his/herself. Twice a year, students meet with their parents and their advisor to discuss progress in meeting academic and citizenship goals and to share their portfolio.

Each advisory group consists of a small cross-graded group of middle school students with a middle school faculty member as the advisor. Advisory groups meet weekly on Friday afternoon and for lunch on the first Monday of each month. Advisory is a chance to touch base, to chat, to share and to laugh. Throughout the year, various advisory competitions and activities provide team-building opportunities.
