The Kent School Chorus meets for 3 months in the fall and 3 months in the spring, from 3:30 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. It is open to children from third through eighth grade. Chorus is a wonderful experience for children. They learn about singing, reading music, taking care of their voices, performing, and working with a group. They become familiar with a variety of music literature. The members also experience the pleasure of accomplishment that comes from commitment and responsibility. The group sings for the Grandfriends' Day program, the Holiday program and the opening of the Book Fair, goes caroling in downtown Chestertown on December's First Friday, performs a spring concert, and may perform at other functions as well. Music teacher Kate Bennett directs and accompanies the Chorus.
